Fouquet was born in Tours in 1420. Historians believe that Fouquet was in Italy around 1437. When he returned to France, he was a court painter for Louis XI. He died in 1481. Then, there was Jean Lemaire de Belges, a French writer. He was born in Hainaut. He was the godson, and maybe the nephew of Molinet. In his poems, he called himself the disciple of Molinet. The University of Paris is where he did his studying. He then died in 1520. A French poet during the renaissance was Clement Marot. He was born in Cohers, the capital of Quercy, in November of 1496. He went to the University of Paris, same as Jean Lemaire de Belges, where he studied law. After a few years of studying that, he gave up law. He died in 1544.
